ALL IN 2022: Eternal Treasure

ALL IN: For the Eternal
Part 4
Eternal Treasure

Matthew 6:19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

1. STORE your treasure in the right place.

verse 19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven…”

2 things about things…

  1. Things are just THINGS

Luke 12:15 “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions."

B. Things are just TEMPORARY

2. SEE your treasure in the right light.

Matthew 6:22
“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

3 lies about money…

  1. Money will make me SATISFIED

Ecclesiastes 5:10 “Whoever loves money never has enough and whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income.”

B. Money will make me SIGNIFICANT

Your self worth is not dependent on your net worth.

Luke 12:15 “Watch out be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a mans life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”

C. Money will make me more SECURE.

Psalm 20:7-8 “Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.”

3 things.

  1. Money is a TRUST

Psalm 24:1 “The earth is THE LORDS and everything in it, the world and all who live in in”

B. Money is a TOOL.

Genesis 12 “I will bless you so that you can be a blessing to others…”

C. Money is a TEST.

3. SEEK it in the right order

Matthew 6:31-33 “So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Proverbs 3:9-10 “Honor the Lord with your wealth,
    with the
first fruits of all your crops;
then your barns will be filled to overflowing,
and your vats will brim over with new wine.

Wherever your treasure is that’s where you heart will be so you must put your treasure where you most want your heart to be.

ALL IN 2022: What Matters for Eternity

ALL IN 2022
Part 3:
What Matters for Eternity

James 4:13
“Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. 17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

Matthew 22:36-40 “36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[c] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[d] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

At Lifegate we are called to Love God and help others to know a loving relationship with God.

Duet 6:5 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”

Matthew 28:18-19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

So what is our goal as we head into 2023?

1.ALL INtentional

2.ALL INvolved

3. ALL INvested

All In 2022: Eternal Mindset

Part 1
Eternal Mindset

Luke 12:16-21 ““The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. 17 He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’ 18 “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. 19 And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’ 20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ 21 “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”

3 MINDSETS that change when we are ALL IN for the eternal.

1. Think like a MANAGER not an OWNER.

I Corinthians 6:20YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN; you were bought at a price.”

Psalm 24:1 “The earth is the Lords and everything in it”
James 1:17 “every good and perfect gift comes from above”

2. Think like a FARMER not a CONSUMER

2 Corinthians 9:10-12 “Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. 12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

A. He supplies BREAD:

verse 10 “he supplies bread for food.”

B. He supplies SEED.

verse 10 “He supplies seed to the sower.”

2 Corinthians 9:11 “You will be enriched in EVERY WAY… so that you can be generous”

3. Think on the ETERNAL not the TEMPORAL

James 4:14 “Your life on this earth is just a mist, it’s a moment that appears and then it's gone. But your next life is forever. It’s infinite. It goes on and on and on.”

2 different kind of accounts

a. The Great White Throne Judgement:

b. The Judgement Seat of Christ:

2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the THINGS DONE while IN THE BODY, whether good or bad.”

I Corinthians 3:12-15 “If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.”

Mark 12:30-31 “ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

John 14:6–9 (NIV84)
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
