Mark 12:30 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.”

Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Three mindsets that change when we are ALL IN:

1. Think like a MANAGER not an OWNER.

I Corinthians 6:19-20 “You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price…”

Psalm 24:1 “The earth is the Lords and everything in it…”

James 1:17 “Every good and perfect gift comes from above…”

2. Think like a FARMER not a CONSUMER.

2 Corinthians 9:10-12 “Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. 12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

a. He supplies BREAD.

verse 10
“He supplies bread for food.”

Philippians 4:19 “He will supply all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”

b. He supplies SEED.

verse 10 “He supplies seed to the sower.”

3. Think on the ETERNAL not the TEMPORAL.

a. The Great White Throne Judgement

b. The Judgement Seat of Christ

2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the THINGS DONE while IN THE BODY, whether good or bad.”

I Corinthians 3:12-15 “If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.”

How do I make sure I am thinking eternity not temporary?

Mark 12:30-31 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

2 Corinthians 8:8 “Since you excel in so many ways—in your faith, your gifted speakers, your knowledge, your enthusiasm, and your love from us—I want you to excel also in this gracious act of giving. 8 I am not commanding you to do this. But I am TESTING HOW GENUINE YOUR LOVE IS by comparing it with the eagerness of the other churches.”

Four things about tithing:

1. Tithing is about PRIORITY!

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

Deuteronomy 14:23b TLB “The purpose of tithing is to teach you always to put God first in your lives.”

Proverbs 3:9-10 “Honor the Lord by giving him the first part of all your income, and he will fill your barns with wheat and barley and overflow your wine vats with the finest wines”

2. Tithing is about PROGRESS.

3. Tithing is about POSITION.

Psalm 25:12-13 “Where is the man who fears the Lord? God will teach him how to choose the best.13 He shall live within God’s circle of blessing, and his children shall inherit the earth.”

Malachi 3:8-10 “Bring the tithe… open up the windows of heaven and pour out blessings…”

Luke 6:38
“Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over…”

4. Tithing is about PARTICIPATION.

Malachi 3:10 “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse so that there may be food in My house…”

Genesis 12:2-3 “I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

Three things…

  1. Settle the Issue

John 6:68-69 “Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, TO WHOM SHALL WE GO? You have the words of eternal life. 69 We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”

2. SURRENDER your life.

Romans 6:13 NLT "Give yourselves COMPLETELY to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your WHOLE BODY as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God."

3. SAY yes.

2 Chronicles 16:9 “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose HEARTS ARE FULLY COMMITTED TO HIM.”

7 Reasons to be encouraged from Romans 8….

1. No CONDEMNATION

verse 1-2
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.”

2. No INTIMIDATION

verse 15
The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you LIVE IN FEAR again;”

1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

2 Timothy 1:7 “God has not given us a Spirit of fear, but of love power and a sound mind”

3. No COMPARISON

verse 18
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

John 16:33 “in this world you will have trouble…”

Psalm 30:5 “Sorrows may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning.

4. No LIMITATIONS
