voicesLuke 15:11-24 (NLT)11 Jesus told them this story: “A man had two sons. 12 The younger son told his father, ‘I want my share of your estate now before you die.’ So his father agreed to divide his wealth between his sons. 13 “A few days later this younger son packed all his belongings and moved to a distant land, and there he wasted all his money in wild living. 14 About the time his money ran out, a great famine swept over the land, and he began to starve.15 He persuaded a local farmer to hire him, and the man sent him into his fields to feed the pigs. 16 The young man became so hungry that even the pods he was feeding the pigs looked good to him. But no one gave him anything. 17 “When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself, ‘At home even the hired servants have food enough to spare, and here I am dying of hunger! 18 I will go home to my father and say, “Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, 19 and I am no longer worthy of being called your son. Please take me on as a hired servant.”’ 20 “So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him. 21 His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son.’ 22 “But his father said to the servants, ‘Quick! Bring the finest robe in the house and put it on him. Get a ring for his finger and sandals for his feet. 23 And kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast, 24 for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.’ So the party began.

Finest Rob
Isaiah 64:6 (NIV) All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags.
Isaiah 61:10 (NIV) He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness.
2 Corinthians 5:21 (NIV) God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2. A Ring for his finger
John 1:12 (NIV) To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
2 Corinthians 1:22 (NIV) (He) Set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
3. Sandals for his feet
Romans 8:15 (NLT) So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”
4. A Feast to celebrate
Luke 15:23-24 (NLT) 23 And kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast, 24 for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.’ So the party begin.

Part 6
Samson
Judges 16:21 “Then the Philistines seized him, gouged out his eyes and took him down to Gaza. Binding him with bronze shackles, they set him to grinding grain in the prison.’
Samson would say.., “FAILURE IS NEVER FINAL”
Proverbs 24:16 “though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again.”
3 realizations that have the power to redefine our failure and change your future.
1. I’m not strong enough to overcome the power of the enemy.
John 10:10 “the thief comes to steal kill and destroy.”
I Peter 5:8 “Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
I Corinthians 10:12 “So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!”
2 Corinthians 2:11 “We are not ignorant of the devils schemes.”
2. The enemy is not strong enough to overcome the power of God
Judges 16: 23-25 “The Philistine rulers held a great festival, offering sacrifices and praising their god Dagon. They said, “Our god has given us victory over our enemy Samson!” 24 When the people saw him, they praised their god, saying, “Our god has delivered our enemy to us! The one who killed so many of us is now in our power!” 25 Half drunk by now, the people demanded, “Bring out Samson so he can amuse us!” So he was brought from the prison to amuse them, and they had him stand between the pillars supporting the roof.”
Romans 8:11 “And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”
3. God is strong enough to overcome the power of my failure
Judges 16: 25-30 “So he was brought from the prison to amuse them, and they had him stand between the pillars supporting the roof. 26 Samson said to the young servant who was leading him by the hand, “Place my hands against the pillars that hold up the temple. I want to rest against them.” 27 Now the temple was completely filled with people. All the Philistine rulers were there, and there were about 3,000 men and women on the roof who were watching as Samson amused them. 28 Then Samson prayed to the Lord, “Sovereign Lord, remember me again. O God, please strengthen me just one more time. With one blow let me pay back the Philistines for the loss of my two eyes.” 29 Then Samson put his hands on the two center pillars that held up the temple. Pushing against them with both hands, 30 he prayed, “Let me die with the Philistines.” And the temple crashed down on the Philistine rulers and all the people. So he killed more people when he died than he had during his entire lifetime.
Judges 13:7 ‘You will become pregnant and give birth to a son. You must not drink wine or any other alcoholic drink nor eat any forbidden food. For your son will be dedicated to God as a Nazirite from the moment of his birth until the day of his death.’”
Judges 16:28 “Then Samson prayed to the Lord, “Sovereign Lord, remember me again. O God, please strengthen me just one more time.”
1. Pray
2. Push ahead
Philippians 3:13 “Forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead I press on.”
Judges 16:29 “Then Samson put his hands on the two center pillars that held up the temple. Pushing against them with both hands.”
Colossians 1:23 “To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.”
